Best to worst in parenthesis."There's a unique opportunity to revisit the world of The Boondocks and do it over again for today," McGruder said in a statement at the time of the announcement. Update: After thinking about it I'll add official rankings. Not a bad ratio for some shows but certainly not great for The Boondocks. I'd say at least 3 episodes where decent and worth re-watching, about 2 or 3 where actively bad and the rest where meh. Yeah season 4 was easily the worst Boondocks season, but it wasn't all bad. Overall though probably still the 3rd best episode this season. And I couldn't shake the feeling that this episode felt like a slightly worse version of something South Park would do. However that idiot fake PR lawyer(forget his name and don't care) hurt this show for me. I could definetely see Riley behaving this way.
SEASON 4 BOONDOCKS EPISODES PC
The plot was believable and reasonably accurate to today's PC attitude. The New Black: This episode was overall decent. Though even then probably just barely, which is fine. I'd say this was the only episode from season 4 that ranks in the upper 40% of Boondocks episodes. It was great to see The Boondocks truly return to its roots.
SEASON 4 BOONDOCKS EPISODES FULL
And Grandpa having a full blown "nigga moment" made this episode for me. I know some people are tired of Stinkmeaner but I find him hilarious. Stinkmeaner Begun the Clone War Has: Yeah. This was easily my favorite episode of this season. However the Siri plot has been over done and this wasn't the best Siri plot. This certainly felt like a classic Boondocks episode from begining to end I'll give it that. I Dream of Siri: This seems like vintage Grandad would do. Not terrible, just a little far even by Boondocks standards. Also this was one of the few episodes where I actually wasn't a fan of Uncle Ruckus's character. Easily the least believable plot of any Boondocks episode (which is saying something). (10)įreedomland: Had some amusing moment, nice to see the return of Ed Wuncler the second. Flush it down the toilet, burn it, nuke it, and forget it. Granddad Dates a Kardashian: Oh god.this episode.WHY JUST WHY!!!!!!!!!!. Overall I'd say it was the second best episode of this season. It certainly wasn't the funniest Boondocks episode, however it was nice seeing Robert Freeman's past live, and I liked the black and white art style. (9)įreedom Ride or Die: I actually kinda liked this episode. The gangsta grandma stuff was amusing but has been done before and ultimately wasn't enough to safe this episode from its weak plot. (7)Įarly Bird Special: Yeah not much to say about this episode, it was pretty bad. Why did the Boondocks feel the need to do that? This episode would have been so much better if they didn't chose to go down that route. (4)īreaking Granddad: This episode had the potential to be really good, but the sub par Breaking Bad theme killed it. It was entertaining but also kind of damaging to the entire season. I now have very mixed feelings about this episode. The Freeman's being broke felt forced, sand Robert Freeman selling himself into slavery is a pretty weak and unbelievable plot point. However it set a bad precedent for the entire season. I was happy to see Ed Wuncler II, It had a decent amount of entertainment. Good Times: I actually kind of liked this episode initially, but the more I think about the less I like it. This episode was somewhat weak but not complete garbage IMO (8) Pretty boy Flizzy was a weak character compared to someone like Thugnificient. It made it unbelievable that they would ever even get married. The argument scene between Tom and Sarah was so cringy. Pretty Boy Flizzy: Right off the bat this episode fails. I wanted to give my two cents on every Episode. I hadn't watched them at all since they where released. So I just recently re-watched every episode from season 4.
